The home features two entrances with smart locks and Ring doorbells for your security. Immediately upon entering the beautiful arched door, you'll be greeted by the bright and airy living room. Decorated with linen sofas, soft muted greens, white curtains and authentic artifacts from over 5 generations of Gullah people. Complete with smart tv, fireplace, desk and a view of the gorgeous gardens, you'll immediately feel like you've entered a relaxing retreat. Use the side door to access the screened in side porch with more casual seating. From the living room, you'll enter the spacious dining room with seating for six before heading into the kitchen which features a gas stove, LG appliances, coffee station and more. Off the hall, you'll find two large and light-filled bedrooms. The Sweetgrass room is decorated in corals, white and tans and highlights the Sweetgrass baskets woven by the native Gullah-Geechee artisans. It features a King sized bed with woven inlaid headboard and has direct access to the bath. The Indigo room is decorated in indigo and black and is a nod to the indigo plant that was masterfully cultivated by the Gullah people. It features two iron single beds with garden views. The downstairs quarters are complete with a hall bath and brand new LG laundry center. Back through the kitchen you'll find the side entrance and a flight of stairs that takes you to the Gullah Geechee Guesthouse and features the Carolina Gold room. The guesthouse features a complete apartment, decorated in warm neutrals with accents of gold. In the living room, you'll find a smart tv, work station with usb desk and comfortable reading nooks with convertible loungers that turn into single beds! Off the living room is a sweet second kitchen with tons of light, full sized refrigerator, stove, oven, Keurig dual coffee maker and everything you need to try your hand at a southern meal. A bar and stools with seating for four, complete the eating nook. The Carolina Gold room, is named for the South Carolina cash crop that was also cultivated by the native Gullah people and made Charleston one of the wealthiest cities in the country.
